GV II

House. Late C17 and early C18 for John Baker. Squared coursed lias with ashlar
dressings and slate roof. T-shape plan. 2 storeys with attic. Main front of
2-window range of C19 casements in original openings; those at first floor are
under wood lintels and those at ground floor under gauged stone heads with a
central shallow arch. 2 flat topped roof dormers have casements with glazing
bars. Moulded stone cornice and ashlar gable parapets and kneelers. Brick stack
at end. Illegible plaque between first floor windows. Rear wing has some leaded
casements at half landing positions. Entrance front has C20 porch and other
extension. Interior: C18 dogleg staircase around a small square well has square
newels and turned balusters. Chamfered spine beams.
