Cottage. Dated 1693, altered C20. Coursed limestone rubble, banded with
ironstone, slate roof, brick end stack. One-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic;
1-window range. Gable end facing road forms principal elevation and has 2-light
casement window to ground floor with diamond stop-chamfered lintel, a 1-light
casement to right with stop-chamfered lintel, a 2-light casement to 1st floor
with diamond stop-chamfered lintel, 1-light casement to attic and datestone
above inscribed NC/ANNO/1693. Ironstone-coped gable with kneelers and ironstone
quoins. C20 plank door to left side with wood lintel. Interior has open
fireplace with chamfered bressumer and ogee stop-chamfered spine beam. No.65 now
forms part of No.67 behind, which is not of special architectural interest.
