The gate piers and wing wall on the Southern corner of Plox House

GV II

Gateway. C18. Doulting stone. Rusticated ashlar square piers with plinths, cornice mould caps, stepped with pineapple
finials. Piers about 600 mm square and 2.5 metres to caps; incised with legend "Plox house" in C19 style. Modern timber
gates between, and short ashlar return walls to each side. Important in context with Plox House (qv).
