Pair of cottages. Early c19. Local stone rubble; double Roman pattern clay tile roof between abutment/West coped
gable, with good eaves overhang; brick end and intermediate chimney stacks. 2-storeys, 6-bays of irregular
fenestration. Timber casement windows with exposed timber lintels, those to West house, bays -4 and -5 having some
leaded lights at lower level: plain entrance doors at bay -2 and between bays -5 and -6, blank panel over lower bay 4
window with 'Fire and Life, Farmers' metal fire insurance plaque over. Humble but unspoiled examples. (Attached on
East site is 'Pennywell', not included in listing).
