ST13SE BISHOP'S LYDEARD CP SANDHILL PARK

Lodge to Sandhill Park Hospital (qv). Early C18. Limestone ashlar centre, rendered wings, slate roofs hidden behind
parapet, moulded cornice, string course rendered chimneys. Palladian style. 2-storeys, 3:1:3:1:3 bays, pedimented
centred bay with dentil moulding over tall arched carriageway opening breaking forward, flanked by large ground floor
windows, 48 pane sash windows, heavily moulded lintels touching flat string course band continued along wings. Blank
panels above. Centre bays of the recessed wings break forward, 12 pane sash windows except third bay from right which
is blocked and painted as a window. Entrance on returns of carriageway arch.
