TA 00 NE RIGBY MAIN STREET

House, C17 but with extensive refronting of circa 1760. Yellow
brick with ashlar dressings, pantiled roof with raised stone
coped gables and kneelers, 2 brick ridge stacks. Irregular 4
bay 2 storey front with garrets. Central half glazed panelled
door beneath traceried fanlight, flanked by vertical lights.
Covered by a C20 canted porch with hipped roof and glazed double
doors. To the left is a 3 light casement, and to right a glazing
bar sash, on the first floor are 4 glazing bar sashes; that above
the door being slightly shorter. All windows have splayed
stucco lintels. Right gable end is notable for its decorative
brickwork; yellow stretchers and red headers are used to create a
diaper pattern. To left of front is an early C19 single bay
extension.
