C1830-40 stucco villa on corner site with Harborne Road. Two storeys 3
bays with 3 bay return to Harborne Road and a large late C19 northern
extension. Plinth; first floor sill band. Hipped slate roof with flat
eaves. A fine cast iron verandah screens the ground floor with ornate open
work scrolled standards and leaded tent roof; a covered way of same design
projects out to boundary wall gateway. Plain revealed first floor windows
with louvred shutters. Ground floor windows in cambered arch recesses.
Four panel door in panelled reveal with marginal and radial pattern glazing
to fanlight. Two bay return to Harborne Road has similar fenestration
apart from canted bay window to right hand ground floor. The northern
extension of 3 bays, with blind boxes to first floor windows, terminates in
a 2 story canted bay with steep pyramid slate roof and one window to north
face.
