2 barns, cow house and stores. C17 barn with C18 cow house and store; mid to
late C19 bank barn and turnip house to south, stone with slate roofs; bank barn
and turnip house have quoins. 4-bay barn has tie beam and strut trusses and
corn ark. To west a cow house with partitions with, to the north, a projecting
store. To east later gabled addition and timber shelter shed. Bank barn of
3 bays has central taller gabled entrance bay. Returns have lunettes and
ventilation slots. To south, a small gabled structure, believed to have been
turnip house. Property of The National Trust, the gift of Beatrix Potter.
