2/7 Hay Close Farmhouse


G.V. II

Farmhouse. Dated 1713, with initials I. & K.F., on quoin to rear wing; later
additions and alterations. Wet-dashed rubble with quoins. Graduated slate
roofs. 2 storeys. Main house symmetrical, 3 bays. Central plank door and
rectangular fanlight; paired sash to either side and 3 sashes above, all C19.
Stepped cylindrical end chimneys. C19 wing adjoining east end; original rear
wing has wood-mullioned 7-light window to ground-floor. Glazed porch and
single-storey addition to C19 wing not of interest.
