SU 21 SE MINSTEAD LYNDHURST ROAD

4/22 The Old Cottage

GV II

Cottage. 1728 on tablet, enlarged C20. Brick, some blue headers, tilehung
gable, old plain tile roof. 2 storey, 4 bay, range added to rear. Front has
to LH of centre C18 gabled porch with roundheaded archway, inside 6-panel
top-lit door. Gable almost a pediment. Above porch is tablet. To other bays
tall C20 3-light casements under original cambered arches, 1st floor band and
3-light casements, some C18. All windows have leaded diamond panes. Roof
½-hipped with LH of centre ridge stack.
