Farmhouse and outbuilding. Spice cupboard inscribed: "IIA/1721" and later.
Painted stone rubble with slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays, the 1st 2 bays C19,
and 3-bay outbuilding to right. Slate dripcourse. Windows have casements, that
to 3rd bay is long. Wide-boarded door has open lean-to porch extending over 4th
bay. Cross-axial stacks to 3rd and 4th bays. Outbuilding has later slate
lean-to outshut to front; original front wall has wood mullioned windows of 2-
and 3-lights. Interior has chamfered beams and cupboard. Property of The
National Trust, the gift of Beatrix Potter.
