Alleron Bridge

Road bridge over stream. C18 or C19. Granite rubble. Single segmental arch c.2.25 m span carries good square section parapets to c.800 mm above road surface, swept at north-west corner. Parapet stones, large square blocks, and with longer stones at the ends of abutments, also have a series of vertical through-stones. Good flush voussoirs to the arch. Roadway between parapets c.2.25 m wide. One of a series of well maintained bridges in the area, here crossing a tributary stream to the River Avon.
