DITTISHAM

SX8654-SX8754 THE QUAY
17/310 Dunedin Cottage

GV II

House. Circa 1835. Stone rubble, plastered and blocked out. Slate roof
with gabled ends and deep eaves. Left hand gable end stack with rendered
shaft. The left hand gable end is hung with asbestos tiles.
Plan: Probably one principal room at the front with an entrance passage
and staircase to the right and an outshut at the back. Said to have been
one house with Dunedin House qv originally.
Exterior: 3 storeys. Asymmetrical 2-window east front. All Cl9 12-pane
sashes, the ground floor and first floor are the original early C19 sashes,
the second floor sashes are later C19 replacements. Doorway to right with
segmental arch and a divided plank door, probably C20. C29 open porch with
wooden lattice gable and slate roof.
Interior not inspected.
