1887-8, Campbell Douglas and Sellars of Glasgow. Scholarly Early English stone
exterior, smooth grey Purbeck dressed with Bath. Slender tower with tall triplet
of lancets to belfry, 1 open and 2 blind, spire removed 1947. Ritual West front
with wheel window and flat buttresses. Paired lancets to aisles, gabled plate
tracery to clerestory. Stiff-leaf carving to entrance and spoutheads. Interior
by contrast of buff brick, with red terracotta roundels in spandrels of arcade.
