SW 98 SE ST ENDELLION FORE STREET, (north side),
Port Isaac

House and shop partly extending into adjoining property, The Wheelhouse Restaurant
(qv) on the left. Main range probably mid C19 although possibly with earlier origins
with range to left circa early C17. Main range with stone rubble basement with upper
stuccoed and rendered softwood frame. Slate roof with gable end on left and canted
end on right. Projecting chimney stack on right-hand side with brick shaft.
2-room single depth plan with C20 shop on ground floor and flat above approached by
external stair on right-hand side wall or from within shop.
3 storeys and basement with almost symmetrical 2-window front. Ground floor with C20
shop front with 12-pane hornless sashes on first floor with moulded and exposed sash
boxes. Second floor with 4-pane sashes with original moulded sash boxes. Right-hand
side wall canted on front side to incorporate projecting chimney stack with external
stair to rear of projection. To left, the Harbour Shop incorporates the large
projecting front lateral chimney stack which was originally part of the adjoining
property, qv. The Wheelhouse Restaurant.
Interior of shop altered with basement containing large fireplace with possibly
renewed roughly cut lintel. Blocked fireplace to front lateral chimney stack,
originally part of The Wheelhouse Restaurant. First floor with C19 chimney piece and
C19 ceiling beams.
