SY 59 SW ASKERSWELL HEMBURY ROAD

3/3 Stonebridge

Detached Farmhouse. Early C17. Dressed stone walls. Thatch roof
with gable-ends. Brick stacks at each gable. 2 storeys. 3 windows,
3-light wooden casements with glazing-bars. Wooden cills. Stone
voussoirs. One stone label over middle window. Front door, just
right of centre, stone moulded jambs, with a depressed-arch head in
a square surround. Plank door with strap hinges and one glass light.
Pentice-roofed outbuilding on east gable end. Interior: deep-
chamfered ceiling beams with filleted stops. Two open fireplaces
with re-set wooden lintels.
