TL 84 SE LISTON LISTON LANE
5/140 Glebe House

II*

House. C14 rear wing with later additions and alterations. Timber framed and
plastered. Late C18/early C19 front range of red brick. Red plain tiled roofs.
2 storeys. 4 window range of small paned vertical sliding sashes with moulded
surrounds. Central flat roofed enclosed brick porch with stone coping and ball
finials to left and right and central step decoration. Round headed doorway.
C20 part glazed, part panelled door. Interior with C14 heavy studding and curved
braces, jowled storey posts. Segmental headed door. Also a rare example of a
C14 integral red brick chimney stack. Front range with good late C18 detail
including doors, mouldings and staircase. The latter probably from elsewhere.
Possibly Over Hall manor held by the De Lyston and Lyons families C14. RCHM 2.
