Farmhouse, c.1820-30. Gault brick with some red brick to first floor of rear
service range. Low pitch, hipped roof of slate with two symmetrically placed
internal stacks. Double pile plan with rear service wing. Two storeys and
double fronted. Flat arches to range of three recessed hung sashes of twelve
panes each with original stone sills. Central doorway with contemporary
reeded doorcase, narrow flat hood and panelled reveals. Half glazed panelled
door with rectangular fanlight with glazing bars. Inside: plan of two rooms
flankiny a narrower hall and stairbay. the staircase is original and has
square section balusters, open string with a curtail. One ground floor room
has a black marble fireplace surround.
