Fieldgarth

G.V. II

Barns, formerly farmhouse. Dated 1722 with initials S.G. on repositioned
lintel, early C19 barn extension. Red sandstone rubble walls, corrugated
asbestos roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays, with 2-bay barn under common roof. C19
entrance, left, has reused C18 chamfered lintel. 2-light mullioned windows,
with smaller fire window to extreme right, now all open and unglazed. Right
angle C19 extension to front is not included in listing. Barn to left is of red
sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings. 2 ground floor entrances have plain
quoined surrounds. Loft entrance has reused dated and inscribed lintel. Listed
partly for G.V. with nearby farmhouse.
