Farmhouse and byre. Dated and inscribed over inner doorway C.B. M.B. 1664, with
C19 alterations. Roughcast over mixed rubble and cobbles on large projecting
plinth stones. Graduated greenslate roof with stone chimney stacks. 2 storeys,
2 bays with byre to right under common roof. Cross-passage doorway has
chamfered surround under Tudor-shaped lintel. Sash windows, those to right
double, in C19 painted stone surrounds. Small central chamfered-surround fire
window. Byre to right has 2 upper-floor C20 windows in chamfered stone
surrounds. End wall has chamfered-surround doorway. Outshut to rear of house
has small chamfered-surround window and 2-light chamfered stone-mullioned
window. Interior of house has beamed ceilings in ground floor rooms. Adjoining
barns to rear are not of interest.
