Farmhouse. Late C18. Grey sandstone coursed rubble on red sandstone plinth;
quoins with V-joints; graduated green slate roof with coped gables and kneelers,
corbelled end stone chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Plank door has
alternate block surround with keyed entablature. Flanking double 2-pane sash
windows, 2-pane sash windows above, all in moulded stone architraves. Interior;
dining room fireplace has pulvinated frieze and moulded cornice; spit rack and
panelled cupboards above. Original 6-panel doors throughout. C19 staircase
with square balusters, carved tread ends and ramped handrail. Round arched
staircase window to rear has radial glazing bars. Barns to right, in L-shape of
2 storeys, numerous bays, have similar walls and roof. Round and flat arched
cart entrances with plank doors; external stone steps to loft doors. 2-pane
sash window nearest house, with filled window above; upper floor casement with
glazing bars to right. Outbuilding to left is 2 storeys, 3 bays. 3 round open
arches to ground floor, 2-pane sashes above. Single storey outshot to rear.
