ST 6601 CERNE ABBAS ACREMAN STREET (west side)

11/55 Nos. 5 and 7

GV II

Two attached cottages. C18; No. 7 dated 1 5 1727. Chalk-
block and knapped flint walls, with chalk-block quoins.
Corrugated iron roof, thatch beneath. Brick stacks at left
and right gables. Two storeys, 4 windows, 2-light wooden
casements with glazing-bars, C19, wood cills and lintels.
Front doors, both off centre towards the pantry wall, both C20,
No. 7 being plank. No. 7 has a carved head of an animal,
medieval, set in above doorway.
