GV II

C19 shop parade on earlier core. Red brick; old tile roof; brick modillion
cornice. Two storeys. NO'S 50 to 56. First floor with 7 sashes and one
bricked-in window all with cambered relieving arches. GROUND FLOOR: NO
50. Altered. C19 shop window splayed on left hand for entrance recess.
NO'S 52, 54 '& 56. C19 fascia the full length of the front with broad
segmental pediments over the coupled doorways. Front divided by 7 panelled
pilasters with carved lion head corbels. Two C19 shop fronts with narrow
mullions and 3 modern bowed windows. NO'S 46 & 48. Rebuilt and much
altered facades with first floor modern tripartite casements with leaded
lights. Ground floor with a modern bowed shop front with leaded lights,
a canted bay window and a recessed door with plate glass alongside. These
last 2 included for group value.
