House. c.1700 possibly built for Peter Wedd with rear wing altered, and
additional back ranges. Timber-framed with panelled roughcast plaster to
main elevation, painted brick; plain tiled roof; large red brick gable end
stacks with rebuilt cornices. Two storeys and attics; five symmetrical
'bays'. Moulded wooden eaves cornice with modillions. Central doorway with
rusticated plaster pilasters and frieze decorated with fluted panels and
dentil enriched cornice. Glazed door with lower raised and fielded panels.
Four ground floor flush-framed twelve-paned hung sash windows with shutters
and five similar first floor windows. Three hipped dormer windows.
Interior: altered in C19 and later includes open hearth to north-east room,
and fine imported early C18 chimney piece. C20 staircase.
