Gateway with flanking walls. Early-mid C19. Rubble brought to course.
Gateway with wall continuing for approximately 2 metres to west and for
approximately 5 metres at right angles to south. North (garden) front:
quoined pointed-arched gateway with double gates flanked by slightly projecting
embattled towers square on plan, each with one tall arrow slit. Continuous
ashlar band on plain blocks and similar band at top of towers. Lower band
continues across embattled wall which has flat-coped merlons and is stepped
down to south. On west side of south wall is a blocked quoined doorway.
