House. c1840. Painted roughcast, double Roman tile roof, brick
stacks to left front gable, left-of-centre valley and right
gable end. Picturesque Gothick style. 2 storeys; 4-window
range. 5 gables of varying sizes and pitches to front and
rear, 2 to each return. Windows have small panes with painted
diagonal leading; those to first floor are 2-light casements
of varying sizes with triangular overlights, one to each gable
except that to front left which has an internal stack. The
gable over the central rustic gabled porch containing 6-panel
door with sidelights, is flanked by 2 smaller gables, those to
far left and right are larger. The left return has 2 gables
with French windows to flat-roofed single-storey canted bays
above which are smaller French windows with triangular
overlights. The wider gable to left also has pointed-arched
windows flanking the bay. The ground-floor rear has 2
segmental-arched openings with French windows and plain
shallow rectangular overlights, probably C20. INTERIOR not
inspected.
