Sculptor's lodge, now house. c1900 for Robert Colton. White-painted roughcast
render, plain tile roof. One storey with attic, 3 x 2 bays. In Arts and Crafts
style having modern casements with leaded glazing and board doors with decorative
hinges. Wide steps up to central segmental-arched internal porch which has
part-glazed door on right and board door in left side; windows of 4 lights to left,
2 lights to right, and 3-lights under stepped tile string to large attic gable which
rises from the hipped roof. Tall chimneys rise from each side roof pitch. Rear:
central internal porch which has door on left side, 2 small windows, and right side
canted. Windows of 3 lights to left and 2 lights to attic which is treated as at
front. Returns each have two 3-light windows. Interior not inspected. Included
for group value.
