House, now shop. C17 origin, late C18/early C19 alterations and additions.
Coursed limestone rubble and pantiled roof, brick and double Roman tiled lean-to
at rear. 2 storeys and 3 windows, all sashes with timber lintels, 2nd from left
6-panelled door with large round hood on wrought iron brackets, footscraper recess
to left. Left return has rear wing, door with timber lintel, 3-light casement
with timber mullions and lintel at ground floor, 6-pane casement at first floor;
single storey addition to rear (possibly near-contemporary of original building)
has door in heavy moulded wooden frame, 2-light fixed light to left, brick lean-to
at rear. Rear of house has 2-light casement at ground floor and sash at first
floor; 2 rear wings, gabled at rear. Interior: heavy chamfered beams, panelled
shop counter.
