An original timber-framed farmhouse c 1600 of 3 bays and 2 unit plan with a C19
double pile brick extension to the north-east possibly replacing a service wing.
Two storeys. Plain tile roofs with paired modillions at eaves cornice. Main range,
cased in red brick, has 3 first floor and 2 ground floor recessed hung sash windows
and central 6 panelled door with flat canopy supported on scroll brackets. Two
side stacks at rear, of limestone rubble and ashlar with brick shafts. Four window
range to extension, and red brick ridge stack. The interior has 2 original doorways
with carved guilloche band decoration. The side purlin roof to the original building
has curved wind braces. Two sealed hearths with C19 chimney pieces. Staircase
removed during recent renovation.
