7/98 Bittersweet Cottage

GV II

House. Dated 1779 AD on oval tablet over door. Colourwashed
rubble stone, render to left gable. Thatched roof, flanking
brick chimneys. 2½ storeys. 3 bays. Ground floor outer bays
have 4-pane sashes with louvred shutters; first floor has paired
barred casements; small 4-light barred casement in thatch to
centre. Central modern ledged door. C19-C20 extension to right
with asbestos roof and garage entry is not of special interest.
