Farm buildings immediately to
south-east of No.14

GV II

Barn and shippons. Probably late C18. Mixed rubble with some
red sandstone dressings, graduated slate roof. 2 storeys,
L-shaped plan. Large quoins. Barn has C20 boarded door under
basket arch; various square vent holes; segmentally-arched
winnowing door (south side). Range extending to north has
arched door under landing of external stone steps; altered
openings on right flank a doorway beneath arch. 1st-floor door
with wooden lintel. Later lean-to on left of steps not of
special interest. These farm buildings were formerly attached
to a farmhouse, No.12 North Scale, now demolished.
