House, formerly a house, two cottages to rear and stable range. Late C17 with
C19 alterations and rebuilding and C20 renovation. Coursed dressed limestone
rubble and freestone. Collyweston stone slated roofs with chamfered copings
to parapet gables; rebuilt end stacks. Two storeys and attics with one
storey and attic rear wing forming an L-plan, and shop to north. Central
doorway with ashlar lintel and flush keystone; six-raised and fielded
panelled door. Two ground floor bay windows with leaded casement lights;
three first floor cross-framed casement windows and two gabled casement dormer
windows. Interior: Modified plan with partition removed from south side of
cross passage, rear kitchen wing rebuilt in C19. Stop-chamfered cross beams
and cambered mantel beam to open hearth in main room.
