Cottage in row. Early C19. Local grey lias stone cut and squared; triple-roll clay tiled roof to
shallow pitch between
coped gables; brick chimney stacks. Two storeys, 3 bays. Horizontal bar casement windows of
2-lights under large stone
lintols; to lower bay 2 a boarded door in simple opening. Interior not seen, but illustrated is cross
passage 2 room
plan with later lean-to at rear. Attached on north side is Rose Cottage (qv). (Somerset Villages
- Long Load and Knole,
Long Sutton, SSAVBRG, 1982).
