House. Probably C17 origins, datestone, B/GM/1740 restored C20. Regular coursed
limestone and squared coursed and banded limestone and ironstone with
Collyweston slate roof. Originally probably 2-unit plan, now L-shape. Single
storey with attic. Elevation to West Street has gable breaking forward to right.
One-window range, to left, with C19 style casement under wood lintel and gabled
eaves dormer to attic above. Gable to left is banded limestone and ironstone
with a 3-light ovolo-moulded stone mullion window to the attic. Return wall of
gable has C20 canted bay window with leaded-lights. Ashlar gable parapets. Brick
stack to apex of right gable and ashlar stack to left end. Elevation to right
has 2 gables, partly restored C20. Rear elevation has C20 door to centre and C20
extension to left. Interior: room to left of main front has open fireplace with
bressumer.
