Triumphal arch, gates and flanking railings at Quixhill
(Formerly listed as "Archway at Quixhill")

Triumphal arch, gates and railings. Early C19. Ashlar. Chaste
neo-classical. Central rounded moulded archway with raised keystone,
springing from Tuscan pilasters and flanked by lower flat headed arches
on Tuscan columns, all three arches with full entablature. Wrought
iron gates to main arch, and flanking wrought iron railings with fleur-
de-lys crested standards , each side approximately 20 yards in length
and linking the triumphal arch with lodges (q.v.) to North and South.
Formerly one of the entrances to Alton Towers (q.v. Alton C.P.).
