Public House. C18 but remodelled. Local stone, cut and squared; plain clay tile roof with simple gable and abutment;
brick chimney stack. 2 storeys with attic, 2 bays. Large 4-pane sash windows set flush, with moulded timber
surrounds, under exposed timber lintels; single-storey bay window with flat roof to bay 2; between windows simple
doorway with timber lintel, and above a hanging sign on wrought iron bracket; central pitched roof dormer with small
2-light casement window. Interior not seen. Open as an Inn by 1794. (Sweetman G, History of Wincanton, c1904).
