C16 house with later additions, attics and cellars, timber framed and plastered with pegtiled roofs. Front has 4 facade-gables all treated with roughcast and exposed timbers. Ground floor shop windows beneath a shallow pediment decorated with trefoiled cusping within spandrels, said to have come from Boxted Church - but more probably Gothic.
Some C17 internal detail.
