Millpond Cottages

Cottage, extended and divided. Early C17, with C18 and C19 extensions to right.
Timber framed, clad to front in galleted sandstone rubble with brick angle quoins.
Whitewashed brick extensions with whitewashed tile hanging above. Plain tiled
roofs, hipped to left, stepping down and hipped to right. At right angles to street.
Three framed bays with large offset stack, originally to right end, now enclosed by
extension. Two storeys with two windows to first and ground floors. Central door
in shallow open porch, (No. 7). Planked C19 door to right under braced gabled hood
with one window to side (No. 8). Right hand return front - facing street. Two
windows to each floor.
