Group of four chest tombs. C17 and C18, (a) Unidentified monument about 9 metres north of tower: chest tomb. Later C17.
Ham stone ashlar; moulded base; panels with wave-mould borders, one each end and 2 each flank; simple cavetto coving to
very thick flat top. Inscriptions lost. (b) Clarke monument about 6 metres north of tower: Chest tomb. Earlier C18. Ham
stone ashlar; moulded base; main body has panels with egg and dart mould frames to flanks, the ends and short returns
having a bold baluster profile, no frieze; cornice-mould top with hipped upper surface and rounded leading edges.
Commemorates John Clarke, died 1728. (c) Prankard monument about 6 metres north of tower: Chest tomb. Earlier C18. Ham
stone ashlar with lias stone panels; base buried; bolection mould panels, one each flank and one to each semi-circular
end, no frieze; deep coved moulding to shaped hipped top with rounded leading edges. Commemorates Thomas Prankard, died
1729, and others. (d) Chaffey monument about 4 metres north of tower: Chest tomb, C17. Ham stone ashlar; moulded base,
panels with ovolo mould, one each end and two each flank, the latter separated and flanked by carved panel pilasters
with strapworik ornament, cable-mould frieze; cyma-recta coving to heavy flat top. Commemorates John Chaffey, died
1670.
