Monument. c1828. Stone, hexagonal column on hexagonal stepped
base in the centre of St Katharine's Precinct. Each face with
shallow, square-headed, cusped niche with sculptured scrolled
ribbon. Narrow crenellated cornice with small gargoyles at
angles. Ogee top with finial. Base of column protected by
cast-iron rail with plain uprights and pointed finials.
