GV II*

House. Dated 1617, refronted early/mid C18. Limestone rubble
with rendered ashlar front, brick gable stacks and a slate
roof with stone slates to the rear. Double-depth plan
including 2 rear ranges. Early Georgian style. 2 storeys and
attic; 5-window range. A symmetrical front has deep timber
modillion cornice gutter, a recessed doorway with
bolection-moulded architrave and door with 6 raised panels,
and a swan's neck pediment with console brackets, broken off.
Recessed 6/6-pane sashes in exposed frames. Rear E range has
flush 6/6-pane sashes in exposed frames. The date inset in
brick in the E gable. INTERIOR not inspected.
