House, formerly 2 cottages. Probably late C18-early C19, modernised circa 1980.
Plastered cob on rubble footings; stone rubble stack topped with early C19 and C20
brick; thatch roof.
Originally 2 1-room plan cottages facing south with central axial stack serving
back-to-back fireplaces. Rear roof is carried down continuously over probably
original rear outshots.
Originally symmetrical 2-window front with pair of central doors. Now the left
doorway is blocked by a window. Remaining plank door with gabled and thatch roofed
porch are C20. The windows are all C20 PVC casements with lattice pattern of
leaded glass. Roof is half-hipped each end.
Interior Plain carpentry detail is mostly original. Roof not inspected.
