Upper Thorn Farmhouse

Detach farmhouse. Early C19. Cary stone cut and squared; local lias stone dressings: Welsh slate roof with overhung
gables: red brick chimney stack. Two storeys, 3-bays. Lias stone plinth and band course: 16-pane sash windows under
stone lintols, with toothed lias stone jambs to openings; to lower bay 2 a C20 rendered and slated porch with
part-glazed door: later C19 house attached to east gable, generally to match; Single bay: 2-light horizontal bar
basement windows in segmental arched openings; part glazed door to left under timber lintol, and small extra casement
window to right; a further lower 2-bay extension eastward with 2 casement windows below, under plain clay tile roof.
