Cottage in row. C18 or earlier. Local lias stone roughly cut and squared; asbestos cement slate roof between abutments,
probably replacing thatch; brick chimney stacks. Two storeys, 2 bays. Horizontal bar casement windows, 2-light multiple
bars above, and below 3-lights, narrow to bay 1 and wide to bay 2, both under timber lintels; to right of bay 2 simple
boarded door with glazed light cut in, hung on heavy frame in plain opening under timber lintol. Front wall shows a
straight joint between bays, as well as signs that roof has been raised. Interior not seen. Attached on north side to
Caburn (qv); cottage on south side not of special interest.
