Early C18. 2 storeys. Bath stone on projecting plinth. 3-bay front, divided
by wide pilasters, with string at lst floor level to outer bays. Moulded
cornice broken forward over pilasters and blocking course with incised acanthus
pattern over pilasters. Slate roof. 5 windows on Ist floor, the central
with eared architrave surround. 4 windows on ground floor all with projecting
cills glazing bars intact. Tall central 2-panel double, studded, central
doors with 5-pane rectangular fanlight with cast lead ornament and contemporary
pair of iron ring handles, Door in surround of architrave and plain outer
frame with carved stone console brackets supporting cornice over plain frieze.
Cast iron acanthus and scroll pattern scrapers. Interior may be of interest.

St Mary's Congregational Church, Nos 19 and 20, Sancliffe and Northgate House
form a grou.
