Cottage. Possibly C17; 1746 date, with initials T & DH, on front door
lintel may refer to remodelling. Coursed, squared rubble.
Stone-flagged roof has corniced stone end chimneys; graduated slate roof
to lean-to porch. 2 storeys (eaves raised), 4 bays. Plank door in
inside porch. Sash to either side inserted in earlier openings
following lowering of sills; fire window to far left. 2 Yorkshire
sashes inserted in former 2-light openings with mullions removed.
Chamfered surrounds to all openings. Interior: Plank doors survive; C18
dog-leg, cut-string stair has square balusters and scrolled tread ends.
Later adjoining cottage to right not of interest.
