Gate piers and wall to Adult

GV II

Gate piers and wall. c1908. Probably by Temple Moore. Ashlar
piers, brick wall with stone coping. Square section piers
opposite main entrance to Priory of St Wilfrid, now Adult
Education Centre (qv), have moulded projecting band, ball
finial; low walling extends along road frontage, approx 60m,
stepping up with rise in ground; the railings missing.
