Detached cottage. C17 and C18 with modifications. Cary stone roughly cut and squared; thatched roof between stepped.
coped gables; brick end chimney stacks. L-plan; 2 storeys, 4 bays. A variety of timber casement windows; below of
horizontal tar type, 2-light, under reconstructed stone lintols; above, 3-light windows to match on outer bays, with
both centre-lights adapted, no window upper bay 2; upper bay 3 a 2-light casement with iron-framed opening light,
rectangular leaded panes: to lower bay 3 an early C20 part-glazed door in open timber and tiled porch. Single storey
pantiled lean-to on east gable, further extensions to rear. Interior partly examined: former oven and possibly curing
chamber in east gable, blocked up; several squared old boarded doors and frames; deep-chamfered cross hearts with
rear-scroll runouts; between two front rooms a chamfered timber board in-and-out partition.
