Early C19 stock brick 5 storey and cellars warehouse block, a rare survival. Five
bay front, corners to Wapping Dock Street and Wapping Lane splayed off. Band
cornice and parapet returned to 5 bay side elevations. Central break containing
hatch rank through 3 floors. First floor retaining original hatch with flush
set timber jambs and lintel. Top floor bricked in and renewed lintel, modern
doors ground floor. Relatively small segmental arched windows with gauged brick-
work, some blind, others either with original cast iron cross spiked grilles or
of 2 small pane lights with wood mullion. Narrow round arched doorway to right
of hatch rank; blind window above has had oculus inserted at early date. Similar
details to side elevations with off centre hatch ranks partly retaining original
flush jamb doors. Front has 2 moulded and fluted 'vase' lead rainwater heads.
