End pair in row of 6 cottages. Mid C19. Ham stone cut and squared; triple angle clay tiled roof between coped gables;
brick chimney stacks. Two storeys, 3 bays in all. Horizontal-bar casement windows, 2 light above and 3-light below to
outer bays, set in voussoired segmental arched openings; to upper bay 2 a single-light window, and below a boarded door
with glazed panel, up two steps - this is the entrance to No. 2. Entrance to No. 1 in south-east gable end, flanked by
2-light windows at both levels, with single-light window above door, these all in flat-arched surrounds with relieving
arches: circular recess in gable. Monopitch extension to rear. Interiors not seen. Cottages associated with the Parrett
Iron Works, founded on site of earlier mill c1855. (VCH, Vol III, 1974).
